Do We Dare Believe This? Guns N' Roses' Chinese Democracy Slated for Release Next Month

I love Guns N' Roses. You love Guns N' Roses. My MOM loves Guns N' Roses. But do we love them enough to keep taking this abuse called CHINESE DEMOCRACY from them? It's like the TV show "Lost..." We just keep waiting for the day it stops kicking us while we're down and truly delivers. Apparently Dr. Pepper doesn't believe the hype either: they're offering a free can of their soda to "everyone in America" (including, presumably, whoever is in Guns N' Roses these days) if this record is released anytime in 2008. I'm a Coca-Cola girl myself, but...

There are reports from several reputable news sources that say Guns N' Roses' sixth studio album, "Chinese Democracy," will be available (exclusively through Best Buy) on Sunday, November 23, 2008. This bypasses the usual Tuesday release for normal albums, but this is CHINESE DEMOCRACY.

Guns was definitely a big part of 90's music culture, especially cemented by the ginormous status of its third and fourth albums, "Use Your Illusion I & II," in 1991. Here is my personally beloved video for "Don't Cry" featuring the beautiful Shannon Hoon of Blind Melon, btw:

In other, more believable, Guns news, their first album, "Appetite for Destruction," will be reissued on vinyl by Interscope Records on October 28. Yes, this record was put out in 1987, but let's face it, you were smashed and screeched your way through "Sweet Child O' Mine" just last night, didn't you? That's what I thought. As long as there is beer and karaoke, this band will be relevant. A treat off of Appetite, friends:
