For The Jamband Fans in the Back – Phish Reunites



I am not a fan of Phish nor of "jam bands" in general, but I am democratic about what was important to 90's culture, and this band was undeniable. Having gone to a New England S.L.A.C. (Small Liberal Arts College), it was impossible to get away from these guys and their fans telling you that you "have to see them live, man." They broke up in 2004, and these people cried a river.

No fear! Now you can see them live on March 6-8, 2009 at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, VA, and they have more dates coming. Check out this momentous news here and here.

Phish played in Brooklyn in 2004, where special guest Jiggaman Jay-Z joined them for his songs "99 Problems" and "Big Pimpin'." Phish is known for their good taste in cover songs, and I have to say that I gave them mad respect after this:
